What we collect

Browsing and searching cars needs no account, and we do not ask for anything to do it. If you create an account, we collect your first and last name, email address, and a password (stored in scrambled form, never as plain text), and keep track of how many tool uses your account has left. You can optionally consent to receive occasional GarageAi news, product updates, and special offers by email. If you opt in, we store that preference and when you gave consent with your account. Marketing emails are optional; you can unsubscribe at any time. When you buy additional uses, we store the credit change, purchase reason, Stripe checkout session or invoice identifier, and amount paid. If you subscribe, we also store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and the subscription status. Stripe processes your payment details; GarageAi does not receive or store your card number.

Who handles it

Account sign-in and the use counter run on Supabase, which stores this information for us. The site is hosted by Vercel. Stripe processes payments and subscription management. We do not sell your information.

What happens automatically

• The site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, it may record technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google when a page loads and Google may see your IP address.
• Example vehicle photos are served by Unsplash. When a photo loads, your browser connects to Unsplash, which may receive your IP address and standard browser information.
• Browse filters run in your browser. If you search by ZIP code, that ZIP code is sent to Zippopotam.us to look up its approximate location so we can show example listings within your selected radius. We do not store that ZIP code.
• When you sign in, a small cookie keeps you signed in on this device.
• When you use Find my car, Deal check, or Negotiate, the information you enter is sent to Anthropic to generate a response. Avoid entering sensitive personal information.

Children

GarageAi is for adults shopping for vehicles and is not directed to children under 13.
